PDF PAGE-RANGE SPLITTER · BROWSER-FIRST

Split PDF by page range

Break a long document into clean, separate sections.

Define the page ranges that belong in each output PDF. One line becomes one file, so chapters, appendices, statements and submission sections stay easy to review.

DONE

Your split PDFs are ready.

RANGE-BASED SPLITTING

Separate sections without splitting at random.

Page ranges are best when the source document already has meaningful consecutive blocks. You decide where each section starts and ends, and SplitPDF creates one output for each line in the range field.

REPORTS

Separate chapters

Export the main report, appendix and supporting material as distinct PDFs for different readers.

APPLICATIONS

Meet upload requirements

Prepare specific page blocks when a portal or reviewer asks for a section instead of the complete document.

STATEMENTS

Make focused files

Break a long statement or manual into named page sections without sending unrelated pages along with it.

Example: a 31-page report

Enter each output range on its own line. The lines below produce three PDFs in the same order.

1-8→report_split1.pdf · pages 1–8
9-22→report_split2.pdf · pages 9–22
23-31→report_split3.pdf · pages 23–31

Check the page count

Choose the PDF and use the live preview and page counter to confirm the source page numbering.

Enter ranges

Use digits and a hyphen, like 1-8. Put each output group on its own line, then check that the ranges stay within the document.

Split and review

Process the ranges, inspect the resulting filenames and page counts, then download files individually or as a ZIP.

Input rule: each line becomes one output PDF. A line can contain more than one range separated by commas if those ranges belong together in the same output. Use custom groups if you also need individual page numbers.

PAGE-RANGE FAQ

Get the ranges right.

How do I split a PDF into chapters?

Enter the page range for each chapter on a separate line. For example, 1-8, then 9-22, then 23-31 creates three output PDFs.

Does each line become a separate file?

Yes. Every non-empty line becomes one output PDF. Comma-separated ranges on the same line are grouped together in that file.

Can ranges overlap?

The tool allows the same source page to be included in more than one group. Review your ranges if every page should appear in only one output.

What if my pages are not consecutive?

Use Extract selected pages for single pages and irregular groups such as 1, 4-6, 12.
